Acupuncture to help with the symptoms of many conditions

Acupuncture is an ancient practice that originated in China. It is used to help alleviate the symptoms of a number of bodily conditions and complaints. Many patients find that acupuncture offers temporary relief from the first treatment. This may be built up for a more long-lasting effect. The treatments that we provide are carried out by qualified and experienced specialists.

The treatments are designed and monitored by our head doctor, Dr Jiajian Yu. He is from a family of Chinese medical doctors that goes back 13 generations. His family practises a unique style of acupuncture. All our doctors are trained and supervised by Dr Yu.
Illnesses We Work With

Tailored acupuncture treatments

At Tai Chi Wellness Centre, we design a tailored treatment based on your assessment. We provide an initial consultation so we can identify the root issue. We also find out how this issue may have developed and how it went on to cause the related symptoms. Based on the information that we receive, we will design a treatment plan that best suits your condition. Get in touch with us for more details.

Acupuncture techniques that we use:

We use three types of treatments, including:
  • Traditional acupuncture
  • Abdominal acupuncture
  • Floating acupuncture
Traditional acupuncture is based on the belief that a lifeforce flows through the body in meridians. This is called Qi. When it doesn't flow freely through the body it can cause issues. Our acupuncture can restore the flow of Qi.

Abdominal acupuncture is a relatively new technique invented by Dr Zhi-yun Bo which helps to alleviate whole-body symptoms. We needle the prenatal channel, certain points of the postnatal system and the extraordinary vessels on the belly, as well as the Zang Fu Organs system. This may generate the Qi and open the regular 14 channels and extraordinary vessels. It may also pinpoint the anatomical locations of the issue in order to help achieve an immediate, enduring and healing effect. We use light manipulation and shallow insertion and make it as painless as possible.

Floating acupuncture is another modern technique that may stimulate areas close to the trigger points of taut or tightened muscles. This helps alleviate the symptoms of musculoskeletal conditions and other conditions. This technique only penetrates the suncutaneous layer for a relatively painless treatment. This treatment can help alleviate muscular and ligament symptoms, such as muscle strain, tennis elbow, and acute back pain.

We also provide herbal remedies and massage and spa treatments.
